An idea…

July 23rd, 2006 by Cois

Ok, for the last couple of weeks I’ve been trying to think about what I could potentially make money off of, or gain some sort of street credit for.

The key to making money online is to find something that will require little to no effort to create but something that will also generate a lot of traffic and potentially money. An example of this is flickr. This was develop by a couple of people right here in BC, and now they have been bought out by Yahoo. Another example is the Million dollar homepage. The guy made a million dollars for doing very little work… a million McFriggin DOLLARS!! I’d be happy with making a quarter of that.

I don’t think you can handle it!

June 22nd, 2006 by Cois

As some of you may know Stephen Colbert, of Comedy Central’s Colbert Report re-coined the word Thruthiness. If you read what the wiki says you will find out that it was already a word, and yadda yadda yadda.

The problem I’ve found about the truth is that there are often varying levels of truth. Somtimes the truth can or can not be handled as Jack Nicholson brilliantly demonstrated in Batman. Mr. Nicholsen played the role of Jack Napier, a top notch mobster that was brutally disfigured in a chemical accident. Jack Napier becomes The Joker. In the final showdown of the movie, Tom Cruise vs The Joker, The Joker turns to Tom and say’s “I think of a man, and I take away reason and accountability.” To this Tom replies “Red Light! Green Light!”

Holding Thunder

June 15th, 2006 by Cois

Okay, I’m not going to be able to do this road trip thing this summer. The earliest I could do this would be end of September or start of October. I’ve also decided I need to start writing more stuff… so look forward to that. Seriously. I’m going ot do it. Just watch.

Not only am I a year older today but for the first time since 19 I’m an prime number… a Coisimusprime number. Please note: when saying “Coisimusprime” one must clench their fist while gazing at the horizon with a gaze of longing and desire. If you read my post last year you may have noticed that there was a hint of malice and discontent. A year has passed now. I am older. It’s a fact. So let’s get this show on the road. Three things have come to my attention this year: I have wood for sheep, videoGames + school != life, and onEnterFrame=function(){if(money>0){money- -}};

The Cost of Friendship

April 26th, 2006 by Cois

Seeing as Tom, who decided to take creative control of the road trip has not done anything I have decided to calculate the cost of our friendship with Peng.

Assuming the Dawn Tredder get’s 7km/Litre and the distance to ThunderBay is about 3000km we will need about 850 Litres of Gasoline, which according to President Bush comes from oil. At the current price of gas in Vancouver ($1.18/L) it would cost us, $1003. Add to that the cost of food, a hotel for a night or two, and Archie comics we could be looking at a total budget of $2000 for the entire trip. Obviously the more people we have the less of a financial burdon there would be on us.

As of this moment, Tom, Brad S., and Myself are the only people that would be able to go for June 26th to July 7th. This is a bad time frame for Dave, and could be a bad time for Neal. Dave will be living it up in a recording studio, and Neal will never be for sure until a couple weeks before we plan to go because that’s the life of man in the construction business.

So should we shoot for another two week gap? I think this should still happen during the summer but I need you guy’s to tell me what will work best for you.

Seacrest out.

Freedom

April 21st, 2006 by Cois

I’m keeping this one short.

Okay, so I haven’t posted in awhile but that’s because school was way too busy. Now I’m done school, so there is no excuse for me to not write stuff. I’m busy now making my portfolio, which wll probably be one of those things that I make and remake over and over again. So it’s up to you guys to pry me away from my computer and get me out of the house.

My deadline is May 3rd because that is when my industry night is. This is an open invitation to all you people out there to come check out the work of my classmates, and a few other programs at BCIT. I was one of the people that headed up the website for the event so feel free to check it out.

Uninspired

I know it has been awhile since I’ve added an update, but it is with good cause. I’m swamped with school work right now and I only have 2 weeks left to get everything done. So that’s why there has been no new information.

I have continued to work on a new logo idea and as soon as a make a digital version of it I’ll post it.
It will have a bit of this going on… which will mean I will be asking all of those commited for a decent picture in a certain pose.Simpranos

Okay, so trip details… Tom is eager to set the dates because the sooner we set them then we can all know what sort of time we are going to have to take off. Tom is suggesting June 26th to July 7th. The trip will not take that long, but this would be the time you would want to book off work. I’m not hearing rumors that someone may be in a recording studio during this time… NOT RECORDING TEARS OF THUNDER I MIGHT ADD!!… so if these rumors are true kindly let us know.

So that’s it for my half assed post…

East to Thunder Bay, West to Forgiveness

March 14th, 2006 by Cois

I had one of those holy crap moments the other day. The moment wasn’t wholly crap, and I think this could turn the trip into something so amazing that if I even new what I was talking about my head would explode! … or implode… think-about-it.

A blog can only go so far as to the documentation of this road trip, and once we are on the road trip how are we going to document it? Pen and paper? Memory? Tatoos? Think again Stalin! I have a DV-cam so I think it’s time to put that baby to use. Imagine if you will the things we could record!
